Paranormal Awakening

It is nice to see that people are beginning to become more aware of the paranormal realm. A friend from ORB got me to listen in on blogtalkradio. I am now enjoying eavesdropping on the virtual conversation. They say that web 2.0 tools bring the world closer. Who knew they could bring other realms closer. As we discuss things in virtual environments aren't we really acknowledging things on the other side more.

I find it rather refreshing being able to discuss such matters with like minded people. It was interesting this evening when I used their chat room for the first time. Virtually conversing with people who respectfully enter into discourse without entering into discord.

Some of the special guests that called in were discussing their childhoods and their paranormal experiences. It seems amazing to me how many of us had similar experiences where our inquisitive natures were downplayed. What we were going through was either hidden or disregarded. It is only in our adulthood that we are revisiting those initial experiences. I look forward to some day having children. And providing an atmosphere where they can grow and develop naturally without that fear or sense of disapproval. I am glad to see a paranormal awakening beginning to happen. The shift is beginning. What we do today affects their tomorrow.

Personal Experience Vs. Tangible Evidence

Have you ever had one of those nights where you don't find much tangible proof? Has the same night still been considered an interesting evening, paranormally? Tonight was one such night for me. I felt uneasy while on an investigation. I felt on edge like waiting for that other shoe to drop. I wasn't capturing much with my camera that I could see (yes I use a digital high end camera). I still have to listen to my digital recorder (you never know). But it didn't look like I was getting very much. Then a fellow investigator asked me to explore a section with her. As I did I "heard" some tell me "No one comes to visit Carl". My friend was telling me about the area we were visiting. The third time I "heard" this beligerant spirit complain that no one ever comes to visit him, I set off in his direction. I was drawn to a lovely area with a little bench. In the enclosure by the bench was indeed a headstone of the name Carl.

Now do I have anyway of proving that I "heard" from Carl. Unfortunately no. But isn't it interesting that I found just such a name on a headstone at a place I had never been before. Circumstantial I understand. But fascinating none-the-less.

As I said I was simply on edge the entire night. I was in a beautifully serene park-like atmosphere. One would believe I would feel comfortable and calm. Yet, I sensed something just wasn't right. I was at attention the whole time. As some of us started to pack it in and were waiting by the car. We heard the cry for assistance from one of our fellow investigators. Paranormal assistance was needed as an entity had tried to attach itself to someone who had gone with us. Through the strength of the group and the power of a higher being we were able to assist. How unfortunate for someone to feel like their breath was coming weaker as an entity was surrounding them.

Again, can do I have any tangible proof? Do we have "Slimer" in an ectoplasmatic contraption device? Sadly no. But we do have a friend who can breathe better again.

So I ask you... which is more important personal experience or tangible evidence? If there is no tangible evidence, does that than rule out a paranormal experience from happening? I do not have the answer although I wish I did. I merely ask you to ponder the concept.

Past... Present... Future

I think it is interesting that I spoke to a clairvoyant this morning at a "psychic fair". Although she did seem to understand me quite well she told me alot about my past. No, not a past life regression. My recent past like the last 3 years worth of personal history. Ummm I lived my past. I think I remember my recent past. My memory isn't that faulty. If I show up at a psychic fair I'm probably not a nonbeliever. Skeptic yes... nonbeliever no. Was it really necessary to tell me all about what I've gone through in the last little bit?! Apparently she thought so.

Just reminds me why the group I belong to needs to continue doing workshops to share our knowledge. The day was interesting though. But just made me totally laugh.

Haunted Hotel?

Recently my husband and I were trying to figure out where to go for vacation. Two great suggestions came up. We decided to do both. Thanks for the suggestions! One was to a purported haunted inn and they host investigations. The inn itself was just lovely. A couple are restoring an inn to a splendid period location. They have been working very hard. On arrival I sensed a hanging and chocking in a back area. The lady of the house explained on the tour that someone was hanged in the same area. She further explained that a woman was suffocated against a wall in the similar area just above where I was. I found this interesting. However, did I witness/document much else. No, unfortunately I did not. A young couple also staying there had a great anecdotal story in the morning but I did not personally experience very much that I can confirm.

However, in the afternoon of the first day I was taking baseline photos. I captured one picture that I'm inclusive about and yet intrigued by. I will refrain from saying that which I saw. I noticed it through the camera lens first. Now that I have the digital image I am still examining. I have shown the photo to a few friends who have pinpointed what I see. But I do not wish to sway opinion with my own. So I will simply ask... "What do you notice in this photograph?"

Archive from my previous blog

I will copy over a few of my more interesting posts from the past here for the sake of archiving.

October 5, 08:
On Sunday, October 5th, I attended a great workshop, "Orb: Vertices of Light". It was great to learn from some professionals in the field. An interesting theory was discussed of playing music to attract energy/orbs. Various classifications were presented. Sam
ple photographs were displayed. A great experience that I'm glad I was able to participate in thanks to a friend letting me know about the event.

August 18, 2008:
The last few weekends we have had some interesting happenings. Strange apparitions on a door, spirit conversations, clinking sounds, names being stated, sensed locations with previously documented histories. It's been quite interesting.

Here is a small video on some of the equipment that I utilize.

July 07:
Mini experiment:

I read an article in wikipedia about the possibility of orb photographs being caused by dust particles or moisture particles in the air reflecting off the lens and flash combinations inherent to digital cameras. I decided to conduct a mini-test of my own digital camera. The test?

Moisture experiment:
Date: August 29, 2007
Time: 11:38 PM
Room lighting: light from TV and lamp across room
Stimuli: Moisture in a spray bottle
Equipment: digital camera with flash
Procedure:
  1. Average wall photo taken with digital camera.
  2. Moisture sprayed on wall. Similar photograph taken.
  3. Moisture sprayed in air near wall. Similar photograph taken.
  4. Moisture sprayed directly in front of camera. Similar photograph taken.
Part II
Moisture experiment:
Date: August 29, 2007
Time: 12:00 AM (time given to allow moisture in air to evaporate from first part of experiment)
Room lighting: dark
Stimuli: Moisture in a spray bottle
Equipment: digital camera with flash
Procedure:

5. Average wall photo taken with digital camera.

6. Moisture sprayed on wall. Similar photograph taken.

7. Moisture sprayed in air near wall. Similar photograph taken.

8. Moisture sprayed directly in front of camera. Similar photograph taken.

My file with photographic results can be found here.

Oh and of course I have to archive my favorite photo here:
I simply love this one. Focus on the tree knot. It was one of my first photos that I took while out investigating with the paranormal group with which I associate.

Grand Opening So To Speak

Okay so Geocities is closing. So I'm going to begin moving my blog here. I enjoy sharing my adventures and exploration into the paranormal. Whether you are a believe or nonbeliever I simple ask for respect here and will give it in return. Positivity is always welcome here at my blog. In coming days I will be copying over archives from the past. And hopefully new resources will be posted as I continue to develop. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
